Sponsors' FAQ

What is the Green IT opportunity?

Of those Enterprise and Public Sector organisations that have a defined environmental strategy, over 90% believe that IT Systems are core to this overall strategy. They are looking to IT Hardware, Communications and Services companies to demonstrate how they can assist in reducing their overall carbon footprint through reduced levels of power consumption, lower average employee miles, lower physical levels of IT infrastructure and more responsible purchasing, discarding, recycling and waste policies.

Many UK organisations lack the knowledge to make immediate changes and the single biggest barrier to adoption is the perceived cost associated with creating a Greener IT environment – a perception born from the current lack of knowledge.

Despite this misperception, over 70% of IT Managers state that they would choose an IT system or product specifically because it is more environmentally friendly or energy-efficient, and nearly a third state that Green IT is a ‘business best practice’ and critical on RFP’s. Clearly, IT providers cannot ignore the importance of being able to demonstrate their green credentials.

Who will attend as delegates?

Delegates will be senior IT and business executives from the UK’s larger enterprise and public sector organisations. These organisations are typically the “Type A” early adopters of new technologies: we estimate that more than 50% of the FTSE 1000 have a defined Green corporate strategy, and the vast majority of these companies will have identified IT as a major contributor. Why a Green IT conference?

Our collective experience of over 10 years leading the European events division of a leading IT research organisation means we understand that through a conference programme, the audience is truly engaged - providing them with the information and ammunition required to interact with sponsors at the highest level.

Delegates will hear from industry leaders, Enterprise CIOs and the world’s most innovative solution providers, to help them build a 360-degree perspective of the opportunity that exists to make a positive impact on both their organisation, and the world outside it.

How will sponsors be able to participate in the conference programme?

Sponsors have the opportunity to evangelise in the conference programme in support of their pioneering efforts in the Green IT movement.

Whether they offer Data Centre Virtualisation to reduce power requirements, sophisticated conferencing solutions to reduce the need for international travel, or simply more efficient processors and hardware, sponsors will be able to develop a synergy with and leverage the independent conference content.

Client Case Studies will be an integral part of the programme, allowing the demonstration of real life applications of the newest and most innovative developments.

How else will Sponsors be able to participate & influence the audience?
