Andy is 'Sustainability Lead' for Siemens IT Solutions and Services in the UK, with a particular focus on helping Public Sector clients meet their SOGE (Sustainable Operations on the Government Estate) targets. He has over 20 years' background of working with both the public and private sectors, having joined Siemens early in 2005 and previously run Public Sector divisions of Informix Software (now part of IBM) and the SAS Institute.

Andy has a technology background in very large scale data management projects. The increasing need for the use of intelligent data to increase performance and efficiency in the area of environmental sustainability is a particular area of interest and specialisation.

He currently represents Siemens on the UK Government CIO Council's Strategic Supply Board and is also Vice Chair of the Intellect (Information Technology Telecommunications and Electronics Association) Public Sector Council, with particular responsibility for presenting industry's views on the need to reduce ICT costs across government whilst also meeting sustainability obligations.

Andy holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Derby and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
