Richard Dawson started his IT career in 1994 and has since developed his career in a number of commercial, retail, energy and public sector organisations.

A pivotal point in Richard's career was a move in 1996 to Dun and Bradstreet as a senior engineer working on D&B's European gateway, at the time the gateway was responsible for over £1M turnover per day.

On leaving D&B Richard then went on to hold senior positions with The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Centrica and DSG International, formally Dixons.

Richard made the move to the public sector and joined Bracknell Forest Council in 2005 where he joined as Server Manager, he soon embarked on a ground breaking server consolidation project using VMware. Shortly after starting the project Richard was promoted to IT Services manager but has kept very close to the Virtulisation, Green and CO2 reduction projects.
